Contracts

Q: How do I apply for a contract?

To apply for a contract, request the necessary documents from the organisation offering the contract.

Q: What should I do if I do not understand some of the questions or they appear ambiguous?

Always ask us questions if you require clarification on any point.

Q: How do I know that I have received all the relevant tender documentation?

You should have received a ‘Tender Check List’, this details all of the documentation you should have received and which ones to complete and return with your submission.

Q: What should I do if I can not offer the full requirements of the contract?

Again seek clarification form the awarding body, but as a general rule only bid for a contract if you are sure you can deliver either to the specification or to your proposed offer.

Q: I have never tendered for anything and hear it can take quite some time. Is there any preparation I can do prior to me tendering?

Do not underestimate how much time you need to prepare your submission. Start by getting all of your basic documentation detail together. These include Insurance, Bank Details, Certification etc. See Derbyshire’s Draft Commercial Questionnaire for further details, in Derbyshire County Council Affiliates page under Documentation
